i would have to say rugby even after 12 years of playing hockey its not hard at all. love it!

No, I'm not saying this is because women are "weaker" or some shit.  Women's hockey is just substantially less physical which requires less demand on the body.

Horseback Riding, I'm not feeling the love. I know its hard, but there isn't really any competition.

Rugby, vicious game, but still, no real challenge.

Hockey is THE most difficult sport in the world. Not only do you need to concentrate on being graceful on the ice, but be super quick (much like crew), be insanely skillful with the puck (somewhat like horseback riding), and be prepared for some bone rattling hits (like rugby, on a less grand scale). Oh, and that's all at the same time, while paying attention to the rules.

In terms of the more strenous sports, definitely cycling, cross-country and rowing will be up there in the list.
